What We Do

Your way into venture.

We combine venture education with hands-on experience, industry exposure, and real opportunities to put what you learn into practice.

01

Learn it

Every new member completes a 10-week venture curriculum covering the mechanics behind investing — from how funds operate and evaluate to how a deal moves from first look to exit.

02

Apply it

Members can earn their way onto small team projects working directly with early-stage founders on live business questions. Projects typically run for 8 weeks and move beyond hypothetical case studies into work founders can actually use — from investor research and fundraising materials to market mapping, growth, and go-to-market strategy.

For some members, those relationships have continued into formal internships.

Engage with it

Our speaker sessions, annual Summit, community events, mentorship program, and industry visits put members in conversation with founders, investors, and operators across the venture ecosystem.

Why We Exist

Access isn't guaranteed.

Venture has an unusually informal pipeline. Much of what helps someone enter the industry — vocabulary, how investors think, what good judgment looks like, who to call, and where opportunities come from — is often learned through proximity.

This matters in an industry where women remain underrepresented and access isn't guaranteed. The gap isn't only visible on the cap table; in fact, it starts earlier, with who gets into the right rooms and is part of the right conversations.

Executive Board · 2026–2027

GIVC is built and run by UCLA students who care about making venture easier to understand, enter, and contribute to — and about building the kind of community we wanted to find when we first arrived on campus.
